With the 2020 legislative session approaching, now is the time to let our representatives know how crucial Career Online High School is for Floridians. Earning a high school diploma is a life-altering accomplishment. Career Online High School eliminates barriers with the flexibility of a 24/7, fully online format paired with free academic support. Eliminating barriers leads to more graduates. More graduates leads to a greater impact on communities, at a local and state level.
Your help is needed to get the message out and encourage Florida Senators and Representatives to allocate $750,000 in funding for Career Online High School at the January 2020 budget hearings. With 433 students currently enrolled, it would be advantageous for recurring funding to be approved in the Department of State, Library & Information Services Budget, so that Public Libraries throughout Florida can continue providing this in-demand program.
